Rant and Rave: Reader irritated by careless dog owner

RANT to the man who let his dog chase the salmon trying to swim upstream to spawn in Chico Creek, south of Silverdale. Don’t the endangered salmon have enough to deal with without having to expend precious energy avoiding your dog?

RANT to the people who don’t understand that if a traffic light is out, it’s to be treated as a stop sign and instead blow through the intersection. Their quixotic optimism is impressive but dangerous.

RANT AND RAVE Rant to lack of newspapers. I recently returned from a conference on the East Coast, where I couldn’t find a single newspaper in any hotel, restaurant, convenience store, airport shop or street vending box. Why is it so hard to acquire a newspaper anymore? I was glad to come home to the stack of papers that accumulated during my trip, but dismayed that newspapers (of any city) are so hard to find on my travels.
