RANT to movies and TV. Why is it that the “background” music is so loud that it drowns out the dialogue? Even turning up the volume doesn’t help. And to make matters worse, I am noticing this trend starting to happen with the news too. The music leading into commercials overrides the newscaster. Aren’t there enough LOUD things in this world damaging our hearing without entertainment doing it too?
RAVE to the extraordinary High Point librarian who determined that my reserved book had gone to a different branch and changed the request for delivery to his site. After I left and exited the parking lot, he ran out waving a different copy of the same book which he had found on the shelf, checked out to me, and delivered through the car window. Thanks to him and all librarians for great service!
