RENEWABLE SOURCES OF ENERGY

As we know “environment” is regarded as the ultimate support and foundation of human survival and existence but over the past few decades, the exploitation of our mother earth and its degradation has gone up at an alarming rate. Environmental issues like air pollution, water pollution, land pollution, soil pollution, climate change, global warming, acid rain, ozone layer depletion, urban sprawl, loss of biodiversity, loss of endangered species, household mining, industrial waste pollution, deforestation, natural resource depletion, and many more environmental problems have devastated our planet which in turn has affected every human, animal, and nation existing on this earth.

Also, let it be known that, there has been an increase in carbon dioxide emissions by about 90% since 1970 and from these emissions, industrial processes and fossil fuel combustion contributes to about 78% 0f the total greenhouse gas emissions.
So, we are pretty sure we can’t ignore the fact that humans themselves are responsible for polluting our dear planet.

Therefore, we need to shift towards renewable energy sources ,but for this, we have to understand what is renewable energy?
Renewable energy is a form of endless power generation and clean energy that is not depleted when used. It includes sources like solar, geothermal, wind, and hydropower.

Over the past couple of decades, renewable energy has become one of the world’s most discussed topics as the industry is growing very fast, but faster would be better.
Here are three cool things that you should know about renewable energy:
The first word in its name i.e. “renewable”, means that it will never run out and it’s free to use! Unlike fossil fuels which are contributing to the increase in global warming every day, renewable energy is found abundantly as it will never end. Because renewable energy is made from natural resources like wind, water, and sun so we will always be able to keep making energy.
Also, there are no nasty emissions of carbon dioxide produced by renewable sources ,this means, less global warming consequently less air pollution.
Last but not least, renewable energy plants might sound interesting for business owners to know that using renewable energy will save costs in terms of maintenance. As it needs very little maintenance.

There are other facts that a person can never ignore and will drive us to use renewable energy sources ,for instance, switching to solar, wind, hydro (& possibly safe nuclear) worldwide will help in eliminating four to seven million deaths caused as a result of air pollution on yearly basis.
In our solar system , the sun is the most powerful source of energy which sends the energy of 430 quintillion Joules on an hourly basis and sixty minutes of solar energy could power the earth for a year. Moreover, it has been predicted by national geographic that by 2040, solar energy would be the humanity’s primary source of power.
