Successful name: Meet Rahul Thottiyil, self-made businessman and amazing collector

You may have heard the name of Rahul Thottiyil due to his leading positions in the in South East Asia. Multi Award-Winner Rahul Thottiyil has been involved in major mining, port, and power plant projects from Australia to Europe, and is now aiming to become one of the world’s most reliable engineering service provider in the world.

But Rahul is not only savvy in creating business ideas and executing massive projects. One of his main passions in life is exclusive cars. His biggest hobby is racing and collecting cars that will blow your mind.

Rahul have been seen on Ferrari 458 and Bently Flying Spur, as reported in other leading publications. We met Rahul to get to know everything you were afraid to ask about his cars and collection!

BC: Hi Rahul! Thank you for joining us today! How are you doing?

RT: I am doing excellent, everything is good by my side. Thank you.

BC: We are very impressed by the cars you’ve been driving and riding! We’ve also heard rumours about the insane collection you possess. Can you tell us a bit more about your car collection?

RT: I love collecting cars, it’s more hobby to myself, Rolls-Royce Phantom for a luxurious drive, Bentley Flying Spur if I feel like driving the car by myself. Mercedes Maybach when it comes to city drive.

BC: How big is your car collection ask? I may

RT: Not too big, I have 3 luxury cars, 2 powerful cars, 4 city driving cars.

BC: You’ve once mentioned in the interview that your favourite racing car is Ferrari 458. Anything changed since?

RT: Ferrari by far is always my favourite car on a race track, just the looks and power is a perfect combination of what a man would desire for .

BC: You’ve recently purchased a BMW 740le that does from 0 to 100 in 5 seconds. OMG, it is fast! Is it your favourite everyday car now?

RT: I enjoy driving BMW, it’s a combination of luxury and speed, actually speed and comfort. I need to accept that BMW is one of my favourite to drive in the city.

BC: Actually, do you take your BMW 740le on a race track? How does it do?

RT: Unfortunately I don’t take BMW on a race track. Generally, my choice for race track is Ferrari 458 spider and Bentley Flying Spur. They are the best for those who wanna be driving on a race track.

BC: If you would need to keep only one car, what would it be?

RT: Bentley combination of luxury, comfort, speed and power.

BC: What are your business plans for 2022?

RT: To expand globally and focus on artificial intelligence.

BC: People say that in a few years there will be no petrol cars anymore, just electric cars. What would be your predictions on the market?

RT: I don’t see electrical taking over completely because there will be always people who like the touch and feel of a powerful car like a Bugatti, Ferrari, and Mc Laren which is petrol driven. However, I mean yes it does look like the electric car is going to have an impact on petrol cars.

BC: What is the most valuable item in your collection?

RT: Pathom.

BC: Do you like Formula 1? Who is your favourite racer?

RT: Yes love it. My favourite racer is Lewis Hamilton. His self-discipline and. determination to always win keep met interested in him.

BC: What are the top 3 racing cars in the world according to you?

RT: Bugatti Cheron, McLaren Speedtail, and driving on a race track. Porsche 918 spyder.

BC: What is your secret to keeping fit?

RT: Keeping the mind healthy, focus on positive energy, workout and yoga.

BC: What are your aspirations for 2022?

RT: To focus on certain segments in business, joint venture agreements, learning about artificial intelligence and knowledge transfers.
